However, if you’d like a gluten-free Easter sweet treats post including those separately, or a separate gluten-free and dairy-free Easter egg post them please let me know!

This Easter egg has an artistic hand decorated design and is perfect for those who follow a vegan lifestyle. The taste, too, would be more suitable for a child’s palette; the white chocolate is extra sweet, with the flavour bolstered by the colourful sprinkles embedded into the egg. There’s a small Milkybar Easter egg in this post that’s gluten-free. However, other Milkybar eggs in other sizes are NOT gluten-free. The egg is made from Cadbury’s classic Dairy Milk chocolate, meaning it avoids the cheap advent calendar-style taste of some eggs at the lower end of the price scale. The egg itself is a gigantic milk chocolate offering with some streaks of white and dark chocolate for decorative purposes. The chocolate itself is quite thin and has a good snap to it, and the dusting of gold lustre on the outside of the egg is a nice touch.

Made with cocoa butter and rice powder, this egg is soft in texture, but has a unique taste that some may love and some may dislike. As for the taste, I was reminded why I love Nestle. It was smooth and had a bit more of a distinctive flavour than Cadbury. If you’re a fan of dark chocolate then this beautifully presented Easter egg, with its pretty gold shimmer design, will be right up your street. While our aforementioned child enjoyed every mouthful she stole, we found the white chocolate cloyingly sweet with a grainy mouthful. There’s a Cadbury’s Caramel Egg in this post that’s gluten-free. BUT other Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Caramel eggs (which come with a bar and have the extra text ‘Dairy Milk’ on the front) are NOT gluten-free. On the one hand, the chocolate egg was a decent size – albeit a little smaller than Lidl's – and the chocolate was as rich and smooth as I remember. On the other hand, after tasting Lidl's egg all I can say is that it just fell a bit short. Read More Related Articles

I’m very specific in this post when I reference which eggs are gluten-free and safe to eat. So please don’t assume that, just because you’ve seen one egg from a particular brand in this post, that every egg by the same brand is also gluten-free. This chocolate Easter Egg features a strong chocolate orange flavour without being too overpowering. The Mini Ombles are a more bitesize version of the original, though the chocolate doesn’t taste quite as high quality. Here again we have the disappointingly saccharine truffles, but paired with a dark chocolate egg that will delight people who enjoy their chocolate heavy on the cocoa. Like Cadbury, the chocolate egg is a little on the smaller side and looks like the standard milk chocolate egg that you got as a kid. Unlike Cadbury, though, I found that Nestle's chocolate egg broke apart better and was therefore a lot easier to enjoy. We presented this egg, with an aesthetic aimed at children, to our seven-year-old and she; literally squealed with delight. We adored the chocolate of this egg, a crisp, perfectly balanced sweetness and gorgeously creamy mouthfeel - milk chocolate perfection.

Available in most big supermarkets, this Belgian chocolate egg comes with a box of seashell truffles. This is easily the most expensive Easter Egg on this list by double, and everything about it feels like it justifies the price. This is set by Hotjar to identify a new user’s first session. It stores a true/false value, indicating whether this was the first time Hotjar saw this user. It is used by Recording filters to identify new user sessions. This large, hollow quirky milk and white chocolate character is aimed at kids, but the flaky coating is likely to cause a mess. Inside you'll find a Belgian milk chocolate and salted caramel egg, a Belgian white chocolate and forest fruits egg and a Belgian dark chocolate and orange egg. It’s clear that this item is geared more towards a younger audience, as is evidence in both the presentation and the taste. This egg is particularly appealing to look at, with a pretty outer shell decorated with swirls of white and dark chocolate alongside crunchy caramel pieces.
