Description

Tiene un worldbuilding fantástico, un sistema de magia muy novedoso y la descripción del mundo Fae hace acordar mucho a A Court of Thorns and Rosesy Under the Mountain. Bringing their own unique and counter-balanced personalities to proceedings they ask questions such as: what is happiness? Ever since reading the A Court of Thorns and Roses Series, I have been a fan of Fae romances (check out my spoiler free review of the series). There are quite some famous tropes in this novel, like enemies-to-lovers, there’s-only-one-bed, and fake relationship.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. colour-based magic system as we learn alongside Emelin how it works, uncover more of the mysterious and deadly Mother's origins, and meet even more magical species. And when he begins to reveal his secrets and they truly start to learn about each other, their connection only deepens when Emelin promises to work with him to bring down the Mother. I also loved the way in which he – more than a bit awkwardly – tried to build up Em’s confidence and deal with her difficult memories.Neither of them act on it as Creon teaches Emelin about his world and they begin her training, but it’s always there. When Billy can’t find the informant, he wonders if Kate is secretly harboring her, since the two grew close during Kate's weeks undercover. The whole book is written from Emelin’s POV, so we get to experience everything with her – learning about the world and figuring out her place in it.

New and familiar characters abound, voiced by a bright mix of performers, including Kat Dennings, Regé-Jean Page, Emma Corrin, Michael Sheen, Kristen Schaal, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Jeffrey Wright, and so many more, including fan-favorite narrators Simon Vance and Ray Porter. Exactly what I needed right now and something I'll always love about fantasy books: a magical world, an evil ruthless villain, a kick-ass main character who meets someone that helps her grow in finding herself.I read ACOMAF way back in 2018 but seeing as it's one of my favourite books I remember almost every part. I don't want to discourage anyone from trying anything by this author as I have loved the majority of her books, but unfortunately A Court of Blood and Bindings was a disappointment for me. Listen in as she takes six different people on a career change journey to help them figure out what work they would really love to do and create a plan of how to make that career change happen.

The final few scenes are really gripping and the intensity carried all the way through to the last line, which leaves us with tons fuel for further books (that I will 1000% be reading).Creon believes that the key to his mother’s magic is her throne, so he and Em try to map the labyrinth underneath the palace to get under the throne to destroy it from there. The FMC teaches him sign language and it really adds a powerful dynamic and layer of depth to their relationship. There's a reason We Are Legion was named Audible's Best Science Fiction Book of 2016: Its irresistibly irreverent wit!
